Shape and Sound Summer Camp

Session 1: July 6 – 22

3 hours per day, 3 days a week, for 3 weeks

For Ages 9-14

The class will be held Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday from 1 – 4 pm

This camp is designed as a crash course on creativity. Each day will be framed around a foundational concept and how it relates to both Visual Arts and Music. Each day will be filled with specific activities that are designed to give the students tools to express themselves in a personal and effective way. The program will also be filled with opportunities for collaboration, peer learning, and experimentation.

This camp will be hosted by Campfire Coworks in their space on Washington Avenue in Marquette. Group numbers will be small in order to provide personalized and effective instruction that treats each student as a unique and individual artist.

Students will have the opportunity to work with a large variety of tools, materials, techniques, and approaches towards making visual art and music. Many of the activities we have planned are designed to give students more choice in their learning experience.
